SUCCESSFUL EVENT

We are proud to announce the successful completion of our first virtual workshop. 

 

ALGBTICAL's Annual Summer Workshop was well-attended and favorably received.  An impressive line-up of guest speakers delivered timely and interesting content.  Attendees gave high marks to various presenters and their sessions and indicated that it was a worthwhile learning experience.

 

We are grateful to all of our colleagues statewide who supported the event.

ALGBTICAL is proud to announce its 14th Annual Summer Workshop! This exciting and informative professional development event will be presented on Friday, July 10, 2020.  the theme for this year's workshop is, "Still Family Across the Distance: LGBTQ Community in the Current Pandemic."  The sessions will run from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM, a full day of fun and learning.  

 

This workshop, which will be presented as a virtual event, will feature prominent guest speakers and timely topics sure to be of interest to all attendees. ALGBTICAL invites counselors statewide, and in all specialties, to attend this big event, which promises to offer valuable training and resources for professionals who work with LGBTQ clients and students. Six CE units are available.

 

We are thrilled to welcome back renowned author and professor, Dr. Anneliese Singh as our keynoter for the Summer Workshop. Anyone who is familiar with her knows what a wonderful speaker she is.

 

We are also happy to be featuring Dr. Michael Chaney, Nathaniel Mason, Dr. Van Wagoner, and Dr. Paul Hard, all LGBTQ champions and heroes in their field.

 

We look forward to seeing all our counselor friends and colleagues at the big event!

In light of the current pandemic and resultant quarantine, this year's workshop will be presented on-line as a virtual event.  The registration for this year's event will also be handled on-line.

This year, the on-line format will save you the cost and effort of driving.  Regardless of your geographic location, this event is local to you. Without even leaving your home or office, you can participate in this statewide event.

 

Lunch is, of course, on your own.  The cost of organizing an on-line event is a lot lower than an on-site event. So, the registration fee for participating in the ALGBTICAL Summer Workshop has been greatly reduced.  And we are happy to welcome graduate students at no charge.

This on-line workshop event is FREE to Graduate Students who are Currently Enrolled PT/FT in a Masterís Counseling Program or a FT Post-Masterís Counseling Program.
