WINTER WORKSHOP 2013
Seventh Annual Event

Friday, February 8

Homewood Public Library, Birmingham Area
Theme: A Place at the Table: Counseling LGBT Children & Their Families
Co-Sponsored by ALACES & Univ Ala Counselor Education Program

Another successful event!  Our largest attendance to date!  Thank you for joining us!  We are very grateful to all our colleagues who came to support the event!  It was wonderful to see our friends again!

ALGBTICAL was proud to host its 7th Annual Winter Workshop on Friday, February 8, 2013. The event took place at the Homewood Public Library, in the Birmingham area.  The Winter Workshop theme was: "A Place at the Table: Counseling LGBT Children and Their Families."

ALGBTICAL partnered with the Alabama Association of Counselor Educators & Supervisors (ALACES) in presenting the workshop.  The University of Alabama Counselor Education Program provided Continuing Education Units.

The workshop included four content sessions, lunch, a poster session, family photo sessions, and an information table.

Attendance was excellent!  Response from attendees was very good!  Everyone really liked the line-up of featured speakers.  One attendee commented, "The workshops get better every year!"

Many thanks to our wonderful guests...  Dr. Keith Abrams from Grayson & Associates...  Alesdair Ittleson from Southern Poverty Law Center...   Dr. Glenda Elliott & Dr. Angela Stowe...   and James Robinson & Elizabeth Crankshaw from GLBT Advocacy & Youth Services.
