Under the leadership of Margaret Fox, the ALCA Annual Conference was held in Birmingham, on November 15-18. The theme for this year's ALCA Conference was "50 Years of Service." Attendees had the opportunity to participate in content sessions, hear prominent keynote speakers, attend meetings, and enjoy various receptions and social events. It was a fun and informative event and a wonderful opportunity for professional development and networking.

Message From ALGBTICAL President, Dina Marble:
All I can say is Wow! I'm blown away by the depth, unity and commitment you all demonstrated throughout the conference. Congratulations! What a successful event for ALGBTICAL. As I said in the division meeting, not only do we have a lot of fun together, we also get a whole lot done. 6 of our active board members won awards. This is incredible. Congratulations to all our award winners. I'm so impressed and proud of each of you. 8 of us were involved in presenting content sessions. Our table was bright, welcoming and informative. We had happy and engaging board members at the table throughout the conference to serve as resources for attendees. We had matching rainbow lanyards thanks to Frank which were the envy of many. We threw a successful social gathering Wednesday with about 50 people in attendance. Many of us went to the dance Thursday night. Our basket was the biggest and best and was saved for the very last door prize. We successfully took credit cards and had a record number of shirt sales. We made a fun attempt to pull our members together through a social media contest which will only keep getting better and better. We raised a lot of interest for our spring workshop. We affirmed and celebrated our LGBTQ+ friends, students and clients and provided meaningful, up to date and pertinent information to counselors on behalf of the entire LGBTQ population. Thank you all for everything you did to contribute to ALGBTICAL pulling together and having a great conference. I was proud and grateful for every single one of you and I was very proud to be associated with you. It's wonderful to work with you all.
